No need to apologise! They're perfectly legitimate questions. :) 1) It's not something we've really explored thus far, though it's certainly doable. I've been considering lately ways to go about some broader, game-wide plottage, and that could be one good way of achieving it. 2) The way I've described it in the past is - think of a human life as the flame of a candle, small, weak and limited to the length of the wick. Well, a god's is more like a bonfire, bright and long-burning, its life only really limited by the amount of fuel. Compare a candle to a bonfire - that's a pretty significant difference. And like a bonfire among candles a god has a fairly distinctive presence, one that other immortals can pick up on. In terms of the exact feeling gods get when they encounter this presence, that varies from person to person and there's no wrong way of describing it. Some people have described it as a buzz, or a tickling at the back of the mind, or an itch - really up to the player. 3) We don't really have strict guidelines on journal use. Primarily they're used as journals (as well as for basic OOC info, ie. character profiles), but other forms of RP like answering machines, letters and so on are totally fine. As a general rule, full-on threading really ought to go in the forgotten_gods or forgotten_past comms, but there's no rule strictly against doing otherwise at the moment. 4) Activity would generally count as participation in a thread, whether it was posted by you or someone else. IC journal entries are fine in a pinch, though. Hope that helps! (Reply to this) (Parent)

A bit stressful (document analyses can go to hell, srsly), but finished so :D That sounds like a really good idea. I agree, it's much better to have any concerns out in the open where they can be dealt with, rather than seeing people bottle things up or end up venting in another forum - and constructive criticism is always useful. 	I am looking over this comm, and have been for a couple days, playing back and forth with the idea of the Furies. Now.. what can I do? 	In the past we've treated them as a unit, much like the Fates (apportioners) - all three being handled by the one person. Hi Char! We'd of course love to see you back in the mix if you're interested in rejoining. :) Unfortunately my knowledge of the recent Christian goings-on is a bit sketchy - LCP (who's unfortunately without internet at the moment) could probably give you a better outline, but I'll do my best. Lucifer was only dropped very recently. From what I can gather, soon after Satan disappeared he started taking measures to consolidate his own power - for instance, demanding pledges of allegiance in writing from Belial, Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Andras. Pride began agitating for independence, and reached an agreement with Lucifer - in exchange for freedom from Hell's jurisdiction, the Sins would promise to neither seek the Throne for themselves nor rejoin Satan when he decides to take it back; additionally, their dealings with Heaven would be considered independent of Hell and Hell would not intervene or protect the Sins if they got on Heaven's bad side. Only Wrath and Greed abstained, though Greed later sought independence under the same terms to escape from Mammon. I'm not sure how Dora (Lucifer's new player) is choosing to interpret these actions; it'd probably be a good idea to contact her if you're interested in figuring out where Satan and Lucifer stand with each other. The other big thing in the Christian pantheon has been the growing tension with the New Gods. Basically, War and Uriel tried to pick a fight with Nuclear Power aaaand very much succeeded in pissing her off. I don't think the Hell-folk have have much involvement in that yet, aside from a bit of verbal sniping over the journals. I think that's about it. 	Regarding Absinthe as a character... wouldn't that fall under Alcohol's domain? Is that something that will be split into parts like the drug gods are? If so, how does that affect Alcohol? Just wondering. Thanks! :o) (Reply to this) (Thread)

I don't think it should interfere with Alcohol too much. Her power is over all alcoholic substances and I don't see why that shouldn't remain the same. She would presumably still be superior in power to Absinthe, who had some weak stirrings of consciousness with the medical use of wormwood in antiquity, but did not gain any kind of form until the herb gained popularity in an alcoholic drink. My impression from the app is that Absinthe is the personification of the drink, with all the associated culture and (in times past) stigmas. So Absinthe has power over her drink, but Alcohol - as the substance that gives Absinthe life - would presumably have some level of power over her. Or that's the impression I got; obviously, if the players have different ideas they should go right ahead and discuss how they want the dynamic to work. And if there are any problems at all I'm happy to chat with both, see if we can work something else out. :) (Reply to this) (Parent)

Thought I'd dropbox this one, so as not to clog up the cast page ;) Because after much thought (and a bit of time playing him), I've decided to swop Gabriel's PB back to Martin Sheen, because he works better as the angel :) I'm going to keep John Spencer, though, as the NPC mortal Senator Jefferson (aka Quincy Jefferson IV, Boston blueblood) - so I guess really, you'd just need to swap the PBs around? Question! Would it be okay to play with the following notion: Sato has Pandora's Box. The Box was built to house bad, bad things. Sato (mostly) uses it to store bad, bad dreams (and good, good dreams, but, hey, food's food.) The Box has also while in Sato's "keeping" has housed/trapped some supernatural elements, like Elpis and GHB. Would it be okay to assume that it also occasionally houses certain low-level spirits? And, better yet, would it be okay to say that sometime those spirits escape? The "spirits" I have in mind aren't particularly powerful. They're more along the lines of nightmares that have taken a more physical root in the waking world. (Possession being one of the probable mediums.) Elpis and GHB are quite obviously very powerful exceptions; the rest of the Box's "stock" is nowhere near as impressive--powerful. The best example of one such beastie I have currently have in mind is the Wendigo. Besides monster hunts? Ooooh, FG would be ace with monster hunts. (Reply to this) (Thread)

	I'm absolutely okay with that! It's perfectly plausible that if the Box can hold beings as powerful as Elpis and GHB, it can also hold lower-level spirits. Plus, Box chaos and monster hunts are far too awesome to pass up. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Absolutely! Historical figures can be deified if there is enough mortal interest/"worship"/repetition of their story (eg. bloodcountess and giveusakiss) and Jack has always been a subject of fascination. I think he'd make a great addition to the game. (Reply to this) (Parent)

Three things, super fast... Thing 1) Could I have Stephanie March for Heroin's female form, s'il vous plait? I promise, she's the very last PB he's getting. Thing 2) Is there anyway to put Hera on official hiatus for a bit? I've been really, pathetically inactive with her and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do re: dropping her entirely or finding the voice again and... I'm still really attached and I'm hoping to spend some more time building her up in the game again, but it might just take a bit to get there. Thing 3) And speaking of dropping... I hate, hate, hate to do this - and I'll probably regret it in an hour, but I think, to be fair, I have to drop Hel. I love her, but I haven't updated in forever and between the characters I have now and the applications I'm working on... she deserves better than than she'd get. *sighs* Thanks, guys!
